The coehorn mortar was used by both sides during the civilwar the coehorn mortar was named after a man named Baron Van Menno Coehoorn (1641-1704). Our coehorn is a 12 pounder unlike the first coehorn mortar it was a 24 pounder and had a bronze tube weighing 164 pounds the bed alone was 131 pounds making it 295 pounds total. Our caehorn weighs about 175 pounds total bed and tube. You can get the tube brass, brass painted, or powder coated the one to the right is brass painted. You can get the bed painted any color you would like the one to the right is olive drab real close to what the cannons were painted during the civilwar. The bore size of our tubes are 4.625 tapered down to 2.000.
